Surgical Specialties

Capital Surgeons Group is committed to caring for a comprehensive array of surgical issues and diagnostic dilemmas. As general surgeons, our physicians hold the distinction of having been specially trained to surgically treat a number of organs and conditions that are not treatable with medication alone.

Key areas that CSG surgeons address include:

Breast Biopsy and Surgery
CSG employs breast-conserving surgery and treatment whenever possible.

Abdominal and Intestinal Surgery
CSG surgeons take a laparoscopic approach to abdominal and intestinal surgeries whenever best for the patient. This approach reduces recovery time, decreases scarring, and minimizes pain.

Gallbladder and Liver Surgery
The surgeons of Capital Surgeons Group regularly perform laparoscopic gallbladder surgery, and we employ advanced techniques to treat diseases affecting the liver

Thyroid and Parathyroid Surgery
Our surgeons employ the most current techniques to diagnose and treat diseases of the endocrine system. Plus, one of our surgeons is Austin’s only fellowship-trained endocrine surgeon.

Hernia Surgery
CSG physicians are highly experienced hernia surgeons who repair all types of hernias, both open and laparoscopically. We utilize the latest mesh prostheses and approaches for secure repairs.

Surgical Oncology
By employing state-of-the-art surgical oncology techniques, CSG surgeons combat a variety of cancers, including breast, liver, colorectal, and other organ cancers. Our practice includes a surgical oncologist with advanced training in cancer treatment.

Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery
All CSG surgeons are skilled in laparoscopy, and two completed Fellowships in Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery. Our surgeons are experienced in performing advanced procedures that would otherwise require an open approach and longer recovery period.
