NeuroTexas Pioneers Robotics Spinal Surgery in Central Texas

We are very excited to announce that NeuroTexas is the very first to provide Robotics technology for minimally invasive spinal surgery in Austin and Central Texas. This cements NeuroTexas as a leader in image guided neurological procedures in the region and our commitment to provide each and every one of our patients with the highest-quality healthcare.

With accuracy and precision, robotics will assist our neurosurgeons in the surgical treatment of many spine conditions such as, degenerative disc disease, scoliosis or curvature of the spine, herniated disc, spondylolisthesis, stenosis, vertebral fractures, and more.  The robot does not do the actual surgery, but assists our neurosurgeons in the planning, and increases intra-operative precision.

“Minimally-invasive spinal surgery has been a major focus for NeuroTexas in recent years,” says Dr. Douglas (Kit) Fox, partner and founder of NeuroTexas.  “We feel the robotics system provides neurosurgeons a new level of pre-operative assessment and intra-operative precision which may equate to better outcomes for our patients.  We believe in providing the most advanced technologies along with the highest quality care for our patients.”

NeuroTexas has incorporated a number of techniques to ensure the best care for our patients and with the addition of image guided robotics we can offer even more options to our patients.  Image guidance is not new to our practice, we utilize frameless image guided and endovascular technology for brain and pituitary gland surgical treatments.  Robotics in surgery is not the future anymore and we believe it will become the standard of care across service lines, including spine surgery.

NeuroTexas has been helping patients in Central Texas since 2007.  Our team of neurosurgeons specialize in minimally invasive and complex surgical techniques to treat spine, brain and peripheral nerve disorders.  For our patient’s convenience we have 7 locations, please visit our website for details

We look forward to continuing to bring the most advanced and best neurological care to the Austin and Central Texas community.
